St Neots started brightly, stretching Bletchley's defence early on. However, Bletchley responded well, applying sustained pressure and eventually crossed the line for the opening score. They capitalised further on St Neots' poor discipline, converting a penalty to extend their lead to 8-0.

Despite showing promise with their running rugby, St Neots struggled to convert opportunities. Finally, a well-placed cross-field kick from Will Noakes found Harry Baxter, who gathered the ball to score. With the conversion missed, St Neots went into half-time trailing 8-5.

The second half mirrored the first, with St Neots' ill-discipline continuing to affect their efforts. Though offering little in attack, Bletchley slotted another penalty to make it 11-5.

After being reduced to 14 men, St Neots finally showed the intensity seen in pre-season. Strong carries from Ryan Litchfield and Jack Wilkie culminated in Wilkie powering over the line to bring the score to 11-10.

With momentum on their side, St Neots pushed hard for the winning score, dominating possession and pressuring the opposition. However, they were unable to capitalise and left the field regretting their lack of discipline.
